What the encounteree was feeling during the sighting: Wasn’t afraid, somewhat curious, because at the time none of us ever heard of bigfoot, yeti, etc. We called them Blue Eyed Thump Thumps…because of the blue eyes and the sound they made on the ledge above the pit when they walked.

Location Details

Location Name: Place called the Rock Crusher. Three miles between Hommassa Springs and Crystal River. Off of US 19. The road that ran behind the airport with two hugh golf ball signs.
Location Description: There was only one road that ran down into the Rock Crusher which was a lime stone mining pit. It had a large beautiful swimming hole, which was widely used for camping, swimming and partying. along the sides of the pit there where ledges and bushy areas. On the top of the pit was woodland areas, in the back of the pit there were ravines, with many caves, and dense woods. In the pit itself towards the walls there were small areas of mucky swampy areas. There is one more thing I’d like to tell you about the pit, in the lake there where giant tadpoles, but you would never see any frogs or any other animals in the pit. We visited the Rock Crusher so many times between 1969-1972 and we never seen any animals in the pit. We alway thought that was very strange. Lost touch with others but can give names but don’t know addresses. At times there was as many as 70 of us there to witness these sightings. When we would go to the Rock Crusher the question wasn’t would you see a bigfoot, the question was how many would you see that night.

Ground Condition: Some areas where dry and other areas were mucky swampy types, we would find hugh foot prints in the mucky areas.

Height: at least 7 ft.
Hair Color: brown hair

Eye Color: blue
Speed: very fast

What the creature was doing while being observed: Watching us, they acted very curious.
The creature exhibited the following humanistic qualities: Curiousity, and it always walked upright.
The creature saw me and its reactions was: There was no question that they saw us, they watched us as much as we watched them.
Additional information about the creature: Grunts, moans, chirps, and when shot it maded a very low mooing sound like a cow.

Tracks In The Area:
There were tracks in the area.

The creature emitted an odor: One of our firt visits to the Rock Crusher, we left a blanket and other stuff and went in the car to find more wood. When we came back the blanket was soaking wet, and it stunk so bad you couldn’t get near it. There was also foot prints (wet) like it swam acrossed the lake to get to our picnic area.
I noticed something unusual associated with the encounter: No matter when you went to the Rock Chursher, they were always there. At times one would come as close as 30 feet from where we parked our car. They’d watch us like they were curious about us.
Additional comments about the sighting: The bigfoots we witnessed was dark brown hair with dark and light spots. They weren’t solid brown.
