As a teenager in St.Pete I worked for a man by the name of Roy Amerson. He grew up on a gladiola farm in Terra Ceia near Sarasota. He used to tell me about planting rows of bulbs by cypress heads and coming back the next morning to find many of them missing along with big footprints in the muck. I am now going on 61 so this was about 45 years ago. I also remember reading about a skunk ape that was killed in Arcadia back in ’38 or ’39. thought you might want to know.
