How come the guy in the documentary said the skunk ape has four toes but the collectible coin has five toes?

There have been footprint castings made over the years. All of them, but one, have five toes. Do some looking around. The footprint casting with four toes comes from Dave Shealy, who has a big voice regarding this subject, but it is the only one.

To Dave Shealy ;(and any folks who doubt the existence of the Florida Skunk Ape); I had a VERY close encounter with one on 2/25/’12 @ 9:30PM in my 5 acre “backyard” ; on the eastern edge of The Everglades in western Palm Beach County. I came within 10 ft. of the beast; by following it’s horrific stench upwind for 300 yards. I practically sneaked up on it; since I could ascertain it’s location by the sound of sticks being broken on the ground when I was only 50 ft away. I charged it’s location; stopping just short. It grunted/growled 3x. I shined a flashlite thru the bushes and could see it’s shoulders; then, loudly; GONE! I am willing to share this. CWB

IN 1991 I SAW A SKUNK APE IN TARPON SPRINGS FL. AT THE GOLF COMPLEX. I WAS FINISHING A ROUND OF GOLF AND WAS TAKING A DIFFERENT ROAD TO MY ROOM WHAT WENT BEHIND A RESTURANT. IT WAS ABOUT DUST. I STARTED SMELLING SOMETHING THAT SMELL LIKE SOMETHING DEAD OR ROTTING. MY WINDOWS WERE DOWN. A FIGURE RAN OUT IN FRONT OF MY CAR. I COULD TELL IT WAS A PRIMATE OF SOME KIND. IT HAD LONG HAIR WITH A LITTLE GRAY ON THE ENDS. IT ALSO HAD LONG ARMS THAT HUNG BELOW IT’S KNEES. IT WAS SO CLOSE TO THE FRONT OF MY CAR THAT I COULDN’T SEE IT’S LEGS BELOW IT’S KNEES. IT RAN ON 2 FEET AND IT SEEM TO GLIDE. SO SMOOTH AND FAST. IT RAN BEHIND A DIPTSY DUMPSTER. I STOPPED THE CAR. IT THEN DID SOMETHING I DIDN’T EXPECT. IT LOOKED OUT FROM BEHIND THE DUMPSTER AT ME AS IF IT KNEW I SAW IT. ┬áIT HAD SHINNY EYES. YELLOW OR RED, I DON’T REMEMBER. IT DUCKED BACK AGAIN AND THEN RAN BACK ACROSS THE STREET. AGAIN AT A SPEED FASTER THAN ANYTHING I EVER SEEN AND DISAPPEARED. AT FISRT I TRIED TO SAY IT WAS A ORANGUTANG BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THAT TALL. ABOUT 4 1/2 TO 5 FEET TALL. BUT I NEVER WAS SATISFIED WITH THE ANSWER. BUT THE SECOND I SAID IT WAS SOME FORM OF BIGFOOT THINGS MADE SENCE. TO THIS DAY I’M SURE I SAW A SKUNK APE.
